Since listening to this I have listened to more of her recordings on You Tube. I am just so grateful to you for introducing me to her wonderful, magical, enchanting voice. I wish I had heard her many years ago ... bravo Aafje and bravo andigrim007!
Thank you for posting this beautiful melody delicately sung by a beautiful Dutch lady who deserves more acclaim for her incredible pure contralto voice, such depth ... voices like this are rare indeed.
What an exceptionally pleasant voice! Moreover, Heynis does not cover or force it (especially evident in the limited forays up the staff that are required here but which treated superbly), letting the sound pour forward like a cool, light mountain stream. There is also a very pleasing simplicity to the way she sings: she does not over state either the text or the music, providing a truly refreshing interpretation. Stunning :)!
