Tbh he sounds like he’s pissed singing on this version, a bit of a parody of himself perhaps. Harry H Corbett did a nice job of singing the title of this song in steptoe and son ( upstairs downstairs) when he found out his dad had been faking illness and was meant to be bed ridden, he was sneaking around pinching lager and liquorice all sorts ( pink ones) lol.
