The tempo Rubinstein uses is almost the same that the tempo Gilels and Pollini use. I cant think they have no reason to use this slow tempo, Especially when we know Rubinstin is a specialist of Chopin and Pollini is a former Chopin "Piano Competition" winner...

1.75 speedOr 1.5 is a more suited speed. I can imagine it being performed as such; his other polonaises follow this fast broken pace
