I believe that this recording, along with seven others, were originally released on a ten-inch LP, before the airplane crash that took the lives of two members. If you notice the back side of the album jacket, there are about six or seven songs on each side, which could only fit on the later-standard twelve-inch LP. Thus, this song and a few others were added to some newer recordings to assemble this LP as presented in the accompanying photo in the video here. I have a scratchy copy of the smaller, ten-inch LP which only had four songs on each side, one of them being this one. And, in theseearlier-recorded eight songs, the bass signer was Bill Lyle (one of the two killed in the airplane crash only a few years later). THIS, I believe, accounts for the confusion.
