What a transition from the remnants of The Blues Project with Al Kooper and Steve Katz to David Clayton Thomas and then Jerry Fischer thru it all the horn section was the best in Rock music,better than Chicago,The Ides of March and the Magnificent men.BS&T still kicking butt and taking initials because names are just to longf!!!!
New Blood and No Sweat are the best albums by BS&T. Amazing throughout! Good as n:o 2 and 3 were, everything is just a bit sharper here, a bit more exciting and adventurous, and yes jazzy, though still rocking. But it was just a tad over the average listeners horizon and thus not as commercially viable. Top music though - gives me goosebumps, the arrangement, the horns, the singing, the drive…
