This is priceless. I did a show with him in Webster Groves MO for the Bicentennial in 1976. An amazing guy. He and his wife were wonderful people to work with.

Brilliant... but better on his album, cant remember which one was 50 year ago when we, myself brother and sister used to gather round the piano and sing gospel songs

Anyone know what year this is from? it must have been pretty early in his career.

Great gospel song from one of the greats

Burl Ives was not only talented as an actor and singer, but he was an unapologetic Christian besides. He also seemed to be very outgoing, enthusiastic, yet also humble. Always enjoyed listening to his songs, especially the hymns and Gospel songs. I am certain he is now a member of the heavenly chorus and enjoying it immensely.
