Bands are like companies. Rozz and Valor joined to become a stronger band yet keeping the stronger band name. With equal shares of ownership, 50% Rozz and 50% Valor, they both had equal control. When Rozz left to make new and different music projects, the band was taken over by Valor and given full control as Rozz no longer had interest to continue Christian Death. If you look at it from a business point of view, it makes complete sense as to why Valor kept the name and continued using it.
