I like the way you put space and drew out different points of the verse and chorus. Also the non verbal vocalizing of the melody with the instrument. Why can’t I remember what that is called? Anyway it adds to the forlorn haunting feel along with the few Irish words. I first really heard this song about 40 some years ago at a State park where they had a program telling the history of folk songs throughout American history. They had two young guys playing guitar and singing and two young women singing. And they did it so well along with everything else that they did.
