I lived across the street from Dons mother -in-law.When he was appearing locally,he would bring his family with him and they would stay there.I remember Julie well,as soon as they arrived she would want to play out with me.I remember her sneaking out of the house at around 6 in the morning one Sunday, and knocking on our front door ,asking my mother "if Colin can play out with me today?",she would have been about 3 or 4 years old at the time, she used to follow me every where I went.Nice memories!
Came out late 1961 - one of Joe Meek’s “sounds like it was made in the bathroom” songs. Emotionally brilliant! I love the echo that Joe Meek got in his backings, heard in this and the likes of John Leyton’s “Johnny Remember Me”
