A beautiful composition from the wonderful days of no melting glaciers, no burning Amazon forests, no mass shootings in the U.S.A and no Donald Trump in the White House......How much more do we have to see after today ( August 25, 2019 ) ?????.....CM González, ( Sierra Cuban ) Miami, Florida, Estados Unidos de América.
This one is one of the nicest instrumentals I have ever heard in popular music in my 72 years. One of those tunes that make one daydream and relax. The quality of the music is so superior to what is heard in the radios today which is merely commercial but lacks the depth and feeling these old tunes had.
Woke up this morning thinking of this, except I thought it was titled Vermont Ski Trail. I had to hear it no matter how bad my memory has gotten! Thank you to Michael Drennan for his touching tribute to his dad!!
Eddie Heywood Jr. an African American man, composed this song with Hugo Winterhalter. Additionally Mr. Heywood had a Billboard million selling hit in 1944 with a version of "Begin the Beguine".
There were two melodies that I remember from that year 1956 I liked very much one is this one the other the song "the wayward wind" by Gogy Grant. Whenever I hear them I remember I was in school in fourth grade elementary but liked to hear these two tunes on the radio when I finished my school homework. The melody is very nice dreamy and sweet to hear and enjoy. I shall like it as long as I live.
