Jerry’s solo ventures and collaborations outside of the Grateful Dead are much more interesting and musically satisfying than the GD. I’ll put on the JGB or a JG/Grisman record on before a Dead record. Wished him and Dylan would’ve done a collaboration together.
jamie f from rochester. with chris r. i was supine in his backseat from dayton to cleveland after a dose of lsd, a gallon of gallo wine, smoking hash off the stove, and crying on the steps. i was in and out the whole way while he played this double disc. it was simply the most moving experience of my life. i have never experienced anything like it. these 2 discs changed my life for the better. nothing close.
