I also have the 45 by Elmer Bernstein, the composer. His version is great and so is this

A great performance. An Oliver Nelson arrangement featuring Jimmy Smith at the organ!!

I heard this for the first time I was 10 years old (1962), I was hooked on jazz ever since. Thank you Jimmy Smith.

The middle up-tempo section is perhaps the BADDEST 6/8 jazz drumming ever... with that unstoppable wood-tip ride cymbal pattern that haunted me when I heard it in 1962. This was the very first rhythm I taught myself as drummer years later. The late ED SHAUGHNESSY played drums on this recording, creating a background of anticipation and restrained power that still makes my skin crawl

I read that this album influenced the sound of the British rock group, The Animals.
