First time listening to Miles, Duke and Cab will always be the best. But I really, really see why everyone likes him!

One of my all time coolest Jazz encounters was with Drummer Jimmy Cobb, heard here. He is the only surviving member of this band. I got to hear and see him play live. THIS ALBUM, KInd Of Blue, is An all time classic that I have played all the way through dozens of times. I never get tired of it. It was truly a magical year for Jazz. 1959 saw so damned many great Jazz LPs, including this one. A must have for any Jazz fan, serious or casual. This is indeed Jazz: 101.
