In 1969 Every Monday morning my 4th grade teacher (Ms. Judy Lewis) made us sing this song & to this day it’s one of my all time favorite songs ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My father was an entertainer on the east coast circuit in the 70’s and he taught me this song at age 5, at 54 I still remember every chord and just played it for a friend of mine, we both cried, not out of sadness, but out of love and admiration for one another. My father was the ‘front’ man for the group ‘Blackie Nelson and The Personalities’ their albums are still circulating thanks to eBay. I just felt like commenting as this has had a profound effect on my life for the last 49 years and always will. I too feel, besides my father rendition, whom had the sweetest soulful voice I’ve ever heard, bar none, this is the closest I’ve ever heard to his voice. Such a beautiful song with such profound lyrics, I hope everyone and anyone who read this has a certain special someone in their lives, and hopefully they will take the opportunity to play this for them should they feel so inclined.
