One of my favourite electric blues guitar solos of all time. He ruins it for us blues guitar players by playing a flawless emotional solo. He adds those certain Bloomfield chromatic notes that were his signature. One of the greatest and like Peter Green not as recognized as he should be. When Bloomfield was “on” he was something not of this world. There is an abandon or freedom to his playing that for me is hard to find these days. Wish he was still with us. There’s a new book out about him for all you fans that may not have known.
December 27,1969. My first Fillmore East Concert. Butterfield Blues Band, Arthur Brown, Super Sessions (with Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper), and a group called Sweetwater. Lucky me.
I am sorry, TRULY. Much as I respect this guy, NO WAY does this compare with Peter Green in any way. NOT the soulful aspect here, really. Oh well, back to the Spice Girls, lol
Just a little Jewish guy who used to sneak into Chicago blues clubs. This my friends is the sum total of all of that he learned and all that he possessed.
