PPL were ahead of the curve. Great music and musicianship.

Love this song. I grew up in Western Arkansas and would, as a kid, walk the tracks and hear the KCS trains coming through our town.

Great version (my favorite) of this Gene Clark song. My old band used to play this in late 70s, but not nearly as well.

Billy Hinds kicks ass on this among others, saw them live in 1974 replacing another band that did not show up for the show,I did not know who they were or who Billy Hinds was,Hinds carried the show,I have been a Pure Prairie fan ever since, and own everything they ever recorded.

I saw them in the 1970s and they opened the show with a bang with this song.

THE PEDAL STEEL GUITAR PLAYER IS UNREAL. ON ALL OF THE PPL ALBUMS, THAT STEEL PLAYER MELTS RIGHT INTO THE SONG. PPL WAS GREAT IN THE 1970S AND IS STILL TO THIS DAY A JOY TO LISTEN TOO.

At 2yrs I would sneak out and walk down the dead end street and sit by the tracks and watch the Kcs Trains go by and wave and the engineer and the men in the caboose...I have never gotten trains out of my system. I always wanted to get on them and head south like the Hobos I saw. I found out much later my Grandma fed every Hobo that came by... I got it honest LOL
