I used to live in Springfield Missouri when I was a kid during the 1960s and my mom and dad were very good friends with Ronnie Self and his wife. I was about five years old and we went to their house one time and he was giving me a ride on his motorcycle and a car backed out in front of us and he eased over to the shoulder of the road and it was gravel and we flipped and I went sliding down the road on my chest and stomach and all I had on was a pair of cut off blue Jean shorts. I had to go to the hospital and have skin grafts.
