My dad used to play these records, recorded his own stuff. Sons of the pioneers was his favourite group of musicians. This song, and Tumbling Tumbleweeds were his favourites. Tumbling Tumbleweeds was my favourite, than Cool Clear Water. I was a big cowboy fan as a child, and spent many hours with my fanner toy gun rounding up outlaws and other such varmints. That toy gun was often the scene of gun handling tricks between my dad and his brothers. Lots of good memories of those days. Thank you for the song.
My dad played this when I was a young lad. He passed 8 years ago today and we lost mom earlier this year. I have whispered this song through the years! What an awesome reflection!!
