Saw this same band in Glasgow when they toured the UK. I believe Lloyd Spoon was in the bone section. Enjoyed a beverage with him. One of Stan’s last road bands unfortunately. Amazing power and some fine soloists. He lived to tour!!Thanks for posting!
Stan Kenton, really has those Trombones, running right up through the sky with those good sounds of music, he has this ability to mold the Brass sections in a manner of addictiveness that makes you want more of the Good Stuff! I played Trombone, and it just makes you feel good!!
Stan Kenton leads off on piano, he’s joined by the rhythm section, then the trombone section joins in, then there are the saxophones and trumpets, and we are all in musical heaven. Kids, this is real music.
