I remember this song when I was about 3 years old, my grand mother played it.

A song I always liked in my childhood. Very good to hear it again, now I found it by chance, as I did not remember its title.

So many thanks for the " Little shoemaker"! It was my first song I remember my father taught me and I used to perform it singing and dancing as a very little girl (about 3yrs old perhaps!)on the family gatherings, lol! Nostalgic and magic! Cheers!

Oh wow 2020 is tough

I wore this record out. My mom would play it all the time.

Am I the only person here who always found this song somewhat SAD? I mean fine, she whirls "like a spinning top, all around the shop", but then right out of his life, it would seem! Did she PAY him for all his work, at least? Lovely song nonetheless...

Always makes me think of the movie "The Red Shoes".

When I was small (about 6-7 years old) I remember hearing this song on the radio along with other music that was before rock and roll. Loved it.

God, i was 8 years old when this song came out!  I still had blond hair!

This song was on an 8 track I use to listen to....I think "monster mash" was on it.  Variety 8 track for kids I think....does anyone know the name of it?
