I saw them perform at Brooklyn College in the 1960s. Great musicians, who made the smoothest and sweetest jazz at the time.

John Lewis (along with McCoy Tyner) is one of my two top favorite jazz pianists and Lewis had timing better than most and the equal of anyone; perhaps nobody could excel Brubeck in that regard but Lewis did it in his own style and I never tire of listening to him. And the others too of course.
