Greetings from Esk, Australia. This tune has always been hauntingly beautiful. I was 8 years old when I first heard it in 1963 and I have loved it ever since. It never ceases to amaze me how different songs can stir the soul and I think it is wonderful that we can travel back thorough time and relive those memories in song. My mother was doing the laundry when Australia heard the news via radio that JFK had been assassinated. As a small boy I was startled at her reaction. She was shocked and saddened even though it was an event that occurred on the other side of the world. I have visited the US on a number of occasions and I love her people. May you all and the world find peace.

I recently heard this song for the first time and the first thing I thought of was Monkey Island. This song would fit perfectly in any of the Monkey Island games. It has some music that is very similar to this.
