Wynton is what you would call a “class act”. Young people may take this term in the wrong way but older people would recognize that as a high complement. I hear people play classic compositions without retaining the spirit, inflection, sound and spirit of the original. Wynton does it up rightly. Case in point; Four In One is no easy composition tackle. That’s why I say that he is a class act. Jazz music played the way it’s supposed to be played. All the way around. The solos, the arrangement; everything about it is top notch.
